Close your eyes for one minute and walk around the room. How did it feel to walk around like you are blind? Was it hard to get where you wanted to go? Jesus said that unless you are born again you will not be able to see the Kingdom of Heaven. You will be blind to the Kingdom. Even more blind than you closing your eyes. More importantly, He says you will not be able to enter the Kingdom. So how do we become ‘born again’?
John 3:16, one of the verses we just read, might be the most famous Bible verse in the world. One of the reasons it is famous is because it tells us how to become born again. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus is saying that if you want to be born again, if you do not want to be blind, you need to believe in Jesus. Believe that He is the Son of God and that He died for our sins and was raised to life. Do that and you will be born of water (by your mom) and of Spirit (by the Holy Spirit) and you will be able to more clearly see the Kingdom and enter it.
