The wheat represent people who love Jesus and believe who He is. The weeds represent people who do not. Wheat and weeds look a little different so it is possible to tell them apart. But it is not the same with people. Our outward appearance does not reveal what we believe about Jesus.
Believers in Jesus come in all shapes and sizes. We have different skin tones and speak a lot of different languages. It can be confusing when some people say they love Jesus, but they actually do not. You might meet someone and think they don’t know Jesus because of how they look, but they might actually love Him a great deal. As humans, we are not capable of separating people like wheat and weeds. Only God can. And in His great wisdom, He is waiting until a later time that He chooses to separate the wheat from the weeds.

How are you different after reading these verses?
Dear Jesus, help me to believe in your great wisdom. To believe that you know what You are doing and that you will do what is right in the end. Help me to not judge if people love You and help me to love everyone well. Amen!
